Work that is charged back:
- Recurring painting due to abuse/misuse
- Custom painting of art galleries and exhibit spaces
- Furniture assembly (furniture should be ordered assembled if possible)
- Cleaning after non-DePaul special events and activities
- Cleaning above and beyond, or more frequently than building standards
- Data and telephone port installations (charged back through Networks and Telecommunications)
- Document destruction services
- Moving items between campuses or items to off campus locations
- Lighting upgrades
- Replacing light bulbs, filters, etc. for laboratory/kitchen equipment
- Demolition or installation of built-in fixtures and equipment
- Lock changes and hardware upgrades
- Large key orders
- Installing artwork, displays, and exhibits
- Standby personnel for special events
- Refurbishing office furniture
- Carpet replacement (if required before area is scheduled for new carpet)
- Additional carpet cleaning above building standard
- Dumpsters to accommodate large-scale rubbish removals
- Minor construction activities (i.e. new doors, partitions, etc.)
- Upgraded or additional electrical services for new equipment
Work that is not charged back:
- Painting offices and common areas no more than once per year as requested
- Repairing minor holes, scuff marks, etc., in offices and common areas
- Repair of heating and cooling equipment
- Repair of all bathroom and plumbing fixtures
- Repair and maintenance of all overhead lighting
- Standard cleaning of all offices and common areas
- Typical rubbish removal
- Landscape maintenance
- Snow removal
- Repair of all doors, locks, and windows
- Replacement of broken or worn keys
- Maintenance and repair of all classroom furniture
- Maintenance and repair of all student lounge furniture
- Elevator, escalator, and wheelchair lift repair
- Grease trap maintenance
- Maintenance and repair of all alarm and life safety systems
- Maintenance and repair of all building facades
- Maintenance and repair of all roofs
- Maintenance and repair of all parking areas
- Flooring repairs and maintenance
- Maintenance and repair of all electrical infrastructure
- Basic special event setups for DePaul University groups
- Window blind cleaning
- Pest control services
- Restroom supplies
- Maintenance of all fire suppression equipment (i.e. Ansell systems, extinguishers, etc.)
- Heating and cooling during normal building hours
- Electricity
- Hot and cold water, and sewer
- Laboratory compressed air and natural gas
- Emergency response
- Moving of office and equipment on the same campus
Work that is not performed by Facility Operations:
- Spray on paints and coatings
- Custom painting of offices and common areas
- Appliance repair
- Laboratory equipment repair
- Repairs to private property (i.e. desk lamps, personal chairs, etc.)
- Repairs to vendor owned equipment (i.e. vending machines, water cooler stands, copiers, etc.)
